Every change follows the same path.
You look first, then you decide. Afterwards Vax checks the result and keeps the way back.
Sensitive changes ask first.
Services, security, network, cleaning and app removal show what changes and wait for you. Nothing is applied until you confirm.
What can be undone, and what can't.
Vax tells you before you confirm.
Can be restored
For supported changes, Vax saves the original value first.
- Gaming and performance settings
- Privacy and telemetry
- Windows services
- Power settings
Final
These actions ask for confirmation and have no Vax restore.
- Removing Windows apps
- Deleting files with System cleanup
- One-off actions such as flushing the DNS cache
What Vax checks for you.
Before, during and after every change.
Compatibility first
Windows version, hardware and drivers: if a control doesn't fit your PC, you see it before.
The real previous state
Before every reversible change Vax saves the exact value, even when it didn't exist.
Outside changes stay visible
If Windows or another app changes a value applied by Vax, you're told.
Administrator rights, stated up front
Applying changes needs administrator rights. Without them, Vax opens read-only and changes nothing.
Diagnostics with less data
The support package filters personal references. You check it before sending.
Verifiable releases
Every published version shows its version, file name, size and SHA-256.
Restore, when you need it.
Every entry keeps its date and the setting that changed, and the original value is saved for the restore. Restore it from the module or from Recovery, wherever the change supports it.
What about games and anti-cheat?
No optimizer can promise immunity from a game ban. Follow the rules of each game and keep its required protections enabled. If a game or anti-cheat shows a warning, stop making changes and consult the game's support.
Can I undo a change?
Supported reversible controls can restore their captured value. Check the control's state before applying it: a restore is tied to that saved value, not a complete Windows backup.
What does read-back confirm?
It shows the value read after a supported change. Game compatibility and performance still depend on your setup; read-back is not a complete Windows validation.
And system cleanup?
Cleanup removes selected data and has no restore step. Review what will be removed before continuing; keep a backup of files you need.
